Chief Information Security Officer

Dawn Russell is the Chief Information Security Officer of Caetra.io as well as one of the original designer and developers of Caetra’s first product offering: CyMetric™. Dawn brings decades of experience in cybersecurity, compliance and information management to her work as Chief Information Security Officer at Caetra.io. She has 20 years in the banking industry, including serving as the vice president of a large financial institution where she was responsible for infrastructure risk, vendor and high severity incident management. Dawn developed and delivered a technology risk compliance assessment program designed to proactively identify, rate and remediate risk. In addition, she maintained technology compliance materials and developed a comprehensive, risk-based technology audit management service to achieve successful closure of identified risks.

In her career as a senior compliance professional Dawn has consistently developed technology based solutions for compliance, as well as risk related, issues, particularly within the financial institution market segment. In addition to her role at Caetra, Dawn serves Harris Beach PLLC and its clients as the firm’s manager of information security. She develops, establishes and maintains standards, protocols, policies and procedures to streamline comprehensive security of computer systems. Dawn collaborates closely with IT to identify, implement and test security controls and develops governance programs for client data to meet requirements relative to the security of protected information.

Dawn is a member of the Harris Beach Cybersecurity Protection and Response Practice Group. She is an ISACA Certified Information Security Auditor and serves on the executive board of the Western NY ISACA chapter as secretary. She holds an associate of applied science in business administration from Monroe Community College.
